GISA positions its application activities as a strategic link in transforming research outcomes, scientific innovations, and interdisciplinary knowledge into concrete, scalable, and actionable solutions. Going beyond recommendations or training, GISA works directly with partners throughout the process of piloting, operating, and evaluating innovative models to create tangible and lasting impacts.
GISA’s application efforts focus on field-based actions and solution implementation, aiming to enhance practical execution capacity, foster multi-stakeholder collaboration, and promote the dissemination of sustainable values. This approach enables GISA to serve as a “bridging hub” between scientific knowledge, societal needs, and actionable initiatives—contributing to the development of feasible models tailored to the local context of Vietnam and the region.
GISA collaborates with local authorities, businesses, schools, and communities to pilot innovative and experimental models such as: sustainable commune/ward-level development models, new-generation cooperatives, transparent agricultural supply chains, circular business models, smart agricultural clusters, and ESG governance practices. These models are closely monitored and evaluated to maximize effectiveness and support scale-up.
Building on research outcomes, GISA develops and refines various tools to support operations, assessment, and decision-making. These include ESG and SDG measurement systems, sustainable development monitoring dashboards, digital training platforms, competency assessment software, consumer behavior analysis tools, personalized learning suggestion systems, and more. GISA accompanies partner organizations through the integration, use, and maintenance of these tools.
GISA works with social organizations and local networks to jointly operate community-based intervention programs such as: green consumption communication campaigns, climate awareness programs for students, youth entrepreneurship initiatives in rural areas, community psychological recovery programs after crises (e.g., pandemics, natural disasters), and local SDG action networks. These programs aim to foster grassroots engagement and generate wide-reaching impact.
GISA partners with businesses, designers, technology experts, and behavioral scientists to develop prototypes and integrated solutions, such as: eco-friendly packaging based on consumer behavior, green communication models, learning spaces that support children's psychological development, decision-support systems in smart agriculture, and digital media products for social behavior change.
GISA implements applied behavioral psychology programs to foster positive change in various contexts:
